A brief autobiography by Derek McDonald:
I have been in the music business for sometime. In my case approx. 16 years. I've written for several magazines, done many a interview and personally know some 300 bands (which keeps me very busy when they come to town on tour) not to mention CD liner write-ups, CDs for others, production and I was not so long ago in a band myself. 8 years ago I started my production firm Emperor Multimedia Corporation and within it I (we) produce music, software and multimedia discs, I've been featured in videos, I even have my own on-line CD/record store and distributor, it's small but does very well and was one of the first, not to mention one of the world's largest music archives of reviews and biographies called the RRCA: I founded the organization, not to mention working with music related charities. I am also a qualified computer programmer and former CEO of DMCS Technologies.
My interactive CDs... I've published several over the years and they have gotten better each time a lot are now discontinued but I am currently marketing heavy the three best (in my opinion). POM is the latest. Yes, it was manufactured by Sony Music Canada, the Toronto plant to be precise. I'll my discs are self-financed and designed 100% by me with minimal assistance. Sony is under contract to me to manufacture my CDs, they actually came to me and asked for my projects because they consider them of high quality and a challenge to produce, I am one of the few who makes CDs like this. I assure you it is good quality.
